First, the Target Barbie aisle resets are happening slowly. My store had nothing on Monday. Today, they had the "chase" Christie and the holiday Barbie but no Allan.
There are several different holiday Barbies this year, along with a choice of Kens. I don't know much about the availability of any of them. My Target had the blonde on the shelf. Various websites also have them for pre-order.
Also, Mattel is launching select products from San Diego Comic-Con at noon eastern tomorrow (Thursday, July 23rd) on the Mattel Creations website. No Barbies, but they do have a glow in the dark Monster High that, I have to admit, is actually pretty cute. Price for her is $80.
Finally "Barbie DreamFest" is going to be held March 27-29, 2026 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. It's a joint event between Eventmaker (a marketing and event company) and Mattel that is "family oriented."
I know very little about this. What I do know is that it will NOT be a replacement for the NBDCC. The national Barbie convention will continue on as it always has. This brief article mentions the NBDCC but nothing more.
