Thursday - Suspicion in the Sapphire Room luncheon

I have to confess. I had good seating for all of the events because Kitty Black Perkins was a tablemate! As was Fred Haas who sponsored the Saturday night dinner. So my photos are better this year than they have been in the past.

Bob Young received the "Ruby Slippers" award since he attended every convention ever! Somewhere there's a photo of the two of us that I need to find. He also received a lifetime pass to convention!

The Fred Waring Drive sign is funny to me because he was born and raised about 15 minutes from where I grew up. The town (Tyrone, PA) still celebrates him. As does Palm Desert, apparently!

The centerpiece is Ruby, one of the suspects. I was fortunate enough to be able to buy one each of the day and night fashions, and, as a sponsor, was gifted one of the base dolls. All I need to do is add shoes!
