Sounds like the live trap might be your best option. Unless, of course, they use their sense of smell a lot for warning of predators. If they do, you might try puree of onion and garlic in the den entrance. Strong scents repel lots of critters. If the pee don't work, you can strike it from your list of possible solutions
The critter lives in our lower acre. (We have 2 acres) He climbs up to our part of the acres and burrows under our back garage. He also goes under our west deck of the house. Neighbor said he live several houses (on acreage) away last year and decided to move to my home.
