I kind of work backwards when I plan out a new diorama. Sindy's bakery has been without the commercial kitchen. I found some pieces in 2018...in a huge tub of furniture for a few bucks.
Sink unit: Even dishes and racks came with this. No faucet, but I can easily make or pull off faucets from something else.
The stove has lots of details and an overhead vent and shelves, I'm not sure I will use. I used actual bakery oven photos, made to scale for the doors of my ovens.
I started painting furniture, industrial silver, last Fall..actually the last day for spraying---sprayed lots of Mattel/pink cabinetry for the bakery kitchen. Since this is an industry kitchen everything mimics stainless steel.
Here I'm planning out the available space for the kitchen. This will actually be separated from the hotel, but easily moved right up to it when I need to take connecting photos.
Sticking with the blue tile from the Hotel, I accented the cabinetry with navy blue.
The microwave above the refrigerator will be perfect for heating bakery for serving in the shop. The hole in the wall is where the beverage refrigerator is in the bakery shop.
I found some great contact paper with small scale pattern-perfect for the counter tops.
The commercial oven is a made from scratch and will be included in a post on my blog---later.
I haven't found the correct material for the grill on the bottom for the venting. This piece is top heavy and will be velcro'd to the wall
This little shelf will be perfect for products and tools and will be above a large work table.
I scavenge broken damaged structures and dismantle them to use for parts. I think this window will be perfect to have on the street side of the kitchen, along with a 'service' door for deliveries. Today, I'm going to seal the floor and start my foam core walls. This entire setup will be designed for flat storage. I'm running out of room to have everything up at one time!
Thanks for looking, Sandi
