Barbie News (and Ken, too!)

Photos of the 60th Anniversary repro Silkstone Ken come to us courtesy of the Papusile Mele doll blog via b-dollsplanet. This doll is, I think, scheduled for a spring/summer release, but don't quote me on that.

Rumors are also swirling that Mattel Creations is planning on releasing a "clear" Ken with all of his internal engineering parts revealed, much like they took pre-orders on Barbie last year. Barbie is currently scheduled for release on July 5th of this year for those who pre-ordered (and pre-paid) last fall.

Also, if you order the first doll in the new Pink Collection, it seems as if she is shipping quickly. I ordered yesterday and she is scheduled for delivery today. Though I am also about two and a half hours from the Mattel warehouse in PA so that probably doesn't hurt either.
