I acquired a completely different sort of Barbie doll dated 1993 and sold by Golden. She came in a large box and was made of thick cardboard. The cardboard is more than a millimeter thick, which is skinny by human standards but "fat" for a paper doll. She's 11 1/2 to 12 inches tall, much higher than the other paper dolls who were usually 8 or 9 inches in height.
I've discovered that these dolls can also be mannequins. If you have a loose fitting dress that will slip over the paper doll's head, she can wear it.
I believe there were a number of these boxed sets sold in the 1990s.
