Dear ITPinkers,
do you know that sentence saying something like "Be careful of your dreams, since they may could come true"? Last Sunday was my last day at the countryside. We had planned coming back to town on Monday, early in the morning, since I had to work in the afternoon (we tried to stay here until the last minute, as you can see).
Well... Sunday evening my husband received a call from his sister: she had just been diagnosed COVID positive. Since we were with her several days during last week, we automatically started the protocol, which starts with a preventive quarantine at home. I talked to my boss and she confirmed it: I couldn't go to work, and must stay at home. Since we still were in the countryside, we decided staying here, since that's the protocol. This allows us staying here with the dogs (perfect for them due to the very low temperature we're having here) and avoiding to be in contact with my mom, who is 75 years old and expecting knee surgery.
So... well, after all the "carousel of emotions" due to the post-vacational syndrome and leaving the countryside, in a second everything changed! That's what I call a carousel! ... I'm officially off work until a PCR test proves I am COVID negative. That will be at least by next week, so in the meanwhile we're staying home and praying we all (my in-laws too) are COVID negative! My husband and me don't have any symptoms, just a little bit angry sometimes but I think that's normal in this situation. My husband's brother has a fever since yesterday... Ok, I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I hope everything is gonna be OK! If you have a moment, please send us good vibes.
Ok, let's talk about something better! Here's another of my 1983 Fashion play Barbies. This one was sold in Europe or Canada, I'm not sure since there were a lot of them. I'm sure she comes from France or Canada because I've seen photos with French words. I don't have here my Barbie around the world book by Michael Augustyniak to be able to ID her with a reference number. Maybe Bethany or anybody can help...?
Thank you for being here. Love & hugs your way,
Pedro
