In The Pink

As 2020 prepares to move into 2021 and with the loss of John earlier this year, Margie and I decided that it was time to take a look at the pinned posts at the top of the board. A quick look indicated that a lot of the information was old, outdated, repetitive and in some cases, no longer applicable.
So I have spent the last week or so reading through everything and today, with Margie's approval and input, I rewrote the majority of the pinned posts. They have been condensed down into three main topics - board rules, photo posting, and selling/giveaways.
If you want to take a moment to read them, that's fine. If not, that's okay too. Briefly, I can summarize.
1) The board rules have not changed. They are merely condensed and clarified a bit. Everything that is happening now, from photos to blog posts/links to blogs to discussions, is just fine as it is. Keep on doing what you're doing, everyone! We all appreciate it!
2) Boardhost's photo uploader is wonky. We know this but can't do anything about it. Still, it's there and the photo posting guide covers that, as well as questions regarding private website postings (like my site), photo sharing sites and video. The more we share the better, so please, by all means continue!
3) With the approach of The Twelve Days of Giving, there has been some question about what is allowed, what isn't, selling, giveaways, donations of any kind, etc. That post just clarifies things a bit more.
For our long-time members, please know that this is no disrespect for Joanne. All of her rules are still in place. However, the world is different now (Pinterest, Facebook, etc.) and some rules had to be modified to fit a modern, fast-moving world.
As always, if you have questions or concerns or think we've missed something, please email either or both of us. Our emails are in the rules post now for those who don't have it. Or simply comment here.
Finally, enjoy and celebrate Barbie here with your friends. And please, be kind. Always.
