This is one of those weird clothing things where in photos you look one way and in person, another. So she looks less, what is the right word for it, boxy? In photos she appears to be weighed down by this outfit and in person it's lighter and more sleek. Hard to explain. Anyway, for the moment I'm enjoying her in her original outfit. It's not appropriate for November in New England, of course. Why are they not making any clothing for cold weather? It's so rare to see whole outfits of winter clothing now. Everything is lightweight, flimsy and sleeveless, most of the time. And the lengths of dresses and skirts are in some cases just inappropriately high. But then I'm old. so...
Remember the wonderful dolls in the Fashion Avenue series, with coats, and hats and boots? Yes, there is winter in the world! Anyway, I'll redirect myself away from a rant...
So stay tuned for future pictures of this lovely girl, redressed. I'm not even sure I have much in the way of cold weather clothing for her, because being a curvy girl she's at the mercy of all the stretch material tank dresses and summer dresses that are being made. I want REAL clothes - nice jeans and turtlenecks and sweaters! *sigh* I'll be stealing clothing from other dolls that might fit her.
Anyway, she's gorgeous and I'm glad I got her. I seem to be bringing these BMR1959 dolls home one at a time. Who might be next? Hmm.... I think it may have to be a Christmas present from hubby.
