I never thought of it as a band name...not bad though.
We named it after an exit of the 405 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley...at least the Paxton part. The back Street Carnival part is loosely based on a Twilight Zone episode called A Stop At Willoughby
about a man wanting an escape from the reality of his work and home life dreams of an idyllic small town with a merry go round in the center of it's perfect park ....we took it to a backstreet carnival...get a pass take a ride in a land that is high high above what you strive where the dark never hides all the joy of the backstreet carnival

I’m watching the new HBO documentary called “Six Schizophrenic Brothers”. One of the brothers had a band in the early 70s called Paxton’s Back Street Carnival.
