We also played a couple of weeks at Harrah's in Lake Tahoe back in July of 83.
A few Vegas offers have come up over the years but nothing materialized.
We just do our own songs, new and old. We don't really do covers.
We don't really like doing those oldies revues with several old bands. Most of those bands barely have any original members and some have none. They usually have more his than us but lack authenticity.
Five of our six man lineup played on our first album! The sixth, Howie Anderson has been with us since 1986!
Besides that we still write and arrange new songs.
Another problem is logistics and the cost of doing our shows.
We have an involved light show by Midnight Sun,a soundman, two drummers, vibes, keyboards, two guitarists and bass.
a couple of roadies and merchandise concession.
One of our drummers, Gene Gunnels lives in Vegas and the other, Randy Seol lives in Baja, California. The rest of us live in LA which is where we rehearse.
The few local venues we play here are a major undertaking. So doing Vegas would take a big budget.
The hidden factor is the responsibilities some of us have. Steve Bartek is Danny Elfman's film score orchestrator. Mark Weitz has a tropical fish store. Randy has a yacht repair and cleaning business. Howie is a music teacher. Robert Jacobs, our lighting director, does a very high end digital lighting job for Apple.
I am retired and live the life of Riley.
