Hi Carl!
My post SAC band, Huffington Rhodes, spent quite a bit of time there. Our co-manager, Mark Slotkin owned was was then referred to as the Steinway Mansion (an heiress to Steinway Pianos lived there) and he had a few people living there. Two were the Gemini Twins and another was Bill Rinehart (The Leaves, The Merry go Round) who was one of our producers. I think the band LOVE lived there at one time too. There were parties for sure. This house was across the street from the Houdini mansion which was by then just the ruins from a fire. Bela Lugosi lived a couple house north and Frank Zappa's cabin was a couple houses south towards Hollywood.
