Personal fave of the hits is probably She's My Girl. Great flipside too, the acid-fried country tune Chicken Little Was Right!
Often thought of as "singles" bands, but have many overlooked album tracks. Neither took themselves too seriously, either. The Rascals & Lovin Spoonful fall into this category too. Really went thru a Turtle phase a couple years back - see vid below for a tune you may have missed.
the Raiders show you're thinking of is Where The Action Is, which practically every kid watched after school from '65-'67....they were the main 'house band', though there were others like The Robbs and The Hardtimes.
They later got their own program HAPPENING '68 (another Dick Clark production) which was recently featured in the film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. SA Clock appeared on the 5th episode performing "Tomorrow". I knew someone (he passed a few months ago) who was in the studio when this episode was filmed; he reported that the Alarm Clock weren't present, and their segment must've been taped later.
