Research uncovered that it was an attempt to "Impersonate" the real Strawberry Alarm Clock with a song that resembles "Incense and Peppermints."
Now, some of my many questions about this:
Did it get a lot of radio airplay like I&P?
Was the single withdrawn soon after being released?
Was the public at the time tricked that it was you? (Seems that most people today think it is)
Oh, and one more (almost) completely unrelated question: Was "Incense and Peppermints" ever released while the band's name was Thee Sixpence? Or did the name change occur before that release?
