The reason it has Ed King and Mark Weitz listed as writers is because that's the way it should have been. Bill Holmes, who owns Akarma Records put that together to try and right a wrong that he and co producer Frank Slay perpetrated in May of 1967. It's one of those "who knew it would become a hit" stories. Even Gene Gunnels, the drummer on it quit the band prior to it's release because nothing had happened with their previously released singles so his then girlfriend gave him an ultimatum...her or the band!
