Amazingly, every single artist listed in the above top ten is still active today! At that time, though, Rock and Roll was no longer the “passing fad” but still had not developed into the big business it became. And acts from ten years before in the Fifties, were already considered “oldies acts”.
Well, here we are 45 years later. The SAC is still going strong, new album and doing shows. Who’da thought??
So, George, here goes:
1. Back then, at the time, did you (or any of the guys) ever even dream or fathom the possibility that someday way into the future the work that you guys did would have left an impact and still be remembered? Or was it really just a case of being “in the moment” and when things ended, that was it, it’s done.
2. And even more remotely, was the idea ever considered then that you and everyone from “back then” could actually still be playing together again, way, way down the road?
45 years later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
