When we were looking for the album art ideas your name came up David....but what ended up happening was Mark Weitz found an old poster he drew from 1967 or 68 that we never used...the clock with "It's About Time" ...since Mark did the original SAC logo we thought it fitting to use his original vintage art work for the new album. There was also talk about using that phrase as the album title but I fought to use "Wake Up Where You Are". It just worked on so many levels...the original concept is still there...but in a more subtle way
As for song lyrics and songs....we try to keep it within the band for the most part...I do write with a lyricist named David Gluck...that goes all the way back to the late 60's....but we try to craft our stuff from within...it's probably the most fun part of the whole process.

: i suggested one of my songs - would love to
: hear them play it. it's a little sexier than
: their norm.
:
: i've enjoyed much of your art work.
:
: Thanks. I used to compose poetry long ago
: and published three poetry books. My art
: could always be made available to the SAC,
: too.

: I just wondered if any of those in the SAC
: ever thought of soliciting their fans for
: lyrics to songs--once a theme is
: ratified--for their next CD, as well as
: requesting ideas/sketches for artwork for
: the front/back cover of the album.
