John Lennon's "Revelution 9" from the Beatles' epic two disc self titled 1968 offering was my initiation into avant garde pop.Subsequently,I have become a great fan of the genre as delivered by Velvet Underground and Frank Zappa with things like "Return of the Son of Monster Magnet".To me "Black Butter-Present" sounds a bit of a surreal foray into this abstract arena.Did SAC ever seriously consider any more measurable explorations in this arena?Related inquiry-Did you ever feel a bit weirded out by any the overload of the times of all the way out left of left nuveau concepts and philosphies?
