I was surprised to see a brand new shrink wrapped 2009 re-release of "Incense and Peppermints". I bought my copy,a sixties or early seventies print, at a record collector's meet in 1985 for eight dollars. Is there any indication of what may have spurred the recent re-release and when did UNI first delete "Incense" and later albums?1974-75? Michael Stuart said Elektra discontinued LOVE somewhere in this time frame. Also, ever do much gigging in Boston or Cambridge MA? Most likely, "Incense" was probably huge in Harvard Square in its initial release. Harvard and Greenwich Village in New York were probably as close as the east got to the Haight. Still today, Harvard Square is a tremendous Mecca for underground and alternative styles as well as any cult entertainment. "Rocky Horror Picture Show" has been playing there at midnight on weekends since about year two.
