When my mother passed away May 2012, we discovered the manuscript for a Civil War romance novel. No one had read it besides my mom, and only my father vaguely remembered her ever working on it. She became a nurse practitioner, got too busy with work and kids to pursue it further, and left it at the bottom of a drawer. But she had obviously put a lot of love into these characters and their story.
As a tribute to her, I've edited and published it. The title is "Ladyslipper", and my mother was Donna G. Weber. http://www.amazon.com/Ladyslipper-Donna-G-Weber/dp/1479225886/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354721561&sr=8-1&keywords=ladyslipper
