By Delia Owens...I highly recommend this outstanding novel to both men and women. It is Delia Owens first novel although she is published in many other books and magazines about insects and birds of the wild. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia but has a doctorate in the study of insects and bugs from Harvard, I believe. The book is about a little girl in North Carolina who was abandoned by her entire family by the age of 10 and lived and survived entirely on her own in the wild and marshland of NC. There is a murder in the story for which the girl is blamed and tried. That's all I'm divulging. Read it and let me know what you think. I will say that the author includes some fascinating factual information about the courting and mating of insects. Also, not that anyone cares but Reese Witherspoon read and highly recommends this novel.
