I had forgotten the bit where Susan rubs the slimy stuff on Peter, Martina. I personally like the part where the giant cockroach moves through the tunnel inches from Peter. The looks on JN's face are perfect! I always like to attribute the fact that there are such good characters in this movie to the fact that John Sayles had a go at the script. He's one of my favorite screenwriters (and directors). His characters are always fully 3-dimensional and complex people. (Several other good writers worked on the script as well, so this is just my pro-Sayles bias talking.)
