Don't know if any of you have ever seen this. I think I did have it on my hard drive on one of my computer servers which crashed. But I have been looking through the archives of the YahooGroup and found it mentioned....sooo I searched and searched on Google and, voila, I found it. From the posts at the YahooGroup, there was a picture of JN which went with the article, but I can't find it.

I am going to correct one of the statements in the JN portion. JN wasn't married to Sian..he did live with her for 8 or 9 years. This is from a posting in 2001 at the YahooGroup which might clarify the information.

"Sian was the 9 year relationship, there`s an old article from Tatler 1992 about celebrity cricket teams which mentions the National Theatre team which included JN - he was not only one of the team`s best bowlers but also its `heartthrob` and the team`s most stylish supporter was listed as `Sian, Jeremy Northam`s girlfriend.`"

Have included the URL if you want to read the entire 4 page article, but I'm just including the introduction and the section on JN...

THE BLISS BOYS; That is, Beautiful, Lovable, Itinerant, Smooth and Single - and very definitely altar-shy.

    Author: Ostler, Catherine

THEY are the BLISS boys Beautiful, Lovable, Itinerant, Smooth and Single - the party-loving bachelors envied by other men and desired by every single girl who would like to be 'the one'.

The Mail has already brought you the BLISS girls, such as Lucy Enfield and the Marchioness of Milford Haven, who are Blonde, Leggy, Intelligent, Social and Sorted - the kind of girl every rich man wants to marry.

Their brother species is just as good looking and well connected, but with one difference. They are as keen to be single as a BLISS girl is to be married.

Entry credentials of the BLISS boy club include a list of exes so long and so glamorous that other men weep; membership cards to every night club from London to Los Angeles; indisputable powers of attraction and - possibly after one failure - an inclination to shy away from the altar.

It has to be said that to keep the party lifestyle going for so many years, and to attract all those nubile blondes away from his rivals, a BLISS boy does need a bit of spare cash (particularly if there was a first wife) - and he had better be handsome, too.

He's also learned a few essential rules along the way. A BLISS boy never talks about his exes well, not much anyway. He knows that nothing puts off other famous beauties quicker than the thought he might blab about them afterwards.

In fact, he uses every weapon in his armoury to make women feel safe with him - compliments, old-fashioned manners, a charming but fake 'nervousness', and humour. He'll even pretend to be a feminist, if it helps.

A BLISS boy shows a girl a good time. He loves - really, genuinely loves - partying, restaurants, holidays (far-flung long weekends a speciality) and night clubs, so you're guaranteed a good time.

But women who are after more than this could be in for a disappointment.

There's something of Peter Pan in a BLISS boy which is why, although he might be fortysomething, we can safely call him a boy.

Of course, you needn't bother with them if you haven't got cover-girl good looks because for BLISS boys, it's what is outside that counts. The good news is you needn't have accompanying academic credentials.

There are, of course, minuses about the BLISS boy: he often volunteers only his mobile number and is vague about his whereabouts. He might say he's broody, but really he loves to roam free. You'll have to put up with strange rumours, too they don't gossip, but they're always gossiped about. . .

    JEREMY NORTHAM, 39, actor.

GIRLS: After divorce from Sian, a magazine art director, he's dated model Lisa Butcher, Geordie TV-poppet Donna Air, and Marie Helvin.

ATTRACTION: Outrageously handsome and, in acting terms, heading for the big time - recently as spy chief Wigram in British hit movie Enigma.

    PEDIGREE: Brought up in Cambridge.

Father a don, mother a teacher.

UPSIDE: Described as 'the next Errol Flynn'. Looks better as he gets older.

And is always saying he's broody.

DOWNSIDE: Lives in a two-bed flat in a 'not-smart' part of Finsbury Park.

WOULD SUIT: Feisty party-going It-girl with equally good looks, who won't be jealous when he spends three months on location with a Hollywood princess.
