Very true - indeed it was hardly to see why she felt so...other-directed and lectured by Edward! See, even Mr. Knightley does behave much more schoolmasterly to Emma, doesn´t he? To me Margarete appears like a spoiled, self-centred, bored person - but maybe only cos Edward/Jeremy is such a sweetheart in the movie.
