My apologies in advance for sharing this worry of mine. The ONLY source we have that says JN's been cast in The Crown is Baz Bamigboye's Daily Mail column (the one Joan posted). All the other sources I can find merely quote (or closely paraphrase) his words.

Sorry to be a Gloomy Gus, but we've been down this road before and it leads to Heartbreak City. Remember The Heretics? Baz Bamigboye was one who broke the story about JN starring in that series, a story which was never confirmed by any other source. And then the series got lost in Project Limbo and we didn't hear anything more about it. I'm not implying that BB is an unreliable source. Not at all. I just will feel a LOT better about this project when I see the information independently confirmed by another journalistic source--and not just repeated by a website or a news aggregator service.

Color me very excited, but cautious. I know a teeny bit about Eden and the Suez Crisis, and I agree with BB that Jeremy will be perfect in this role. Keeping everything crossed that it's true!
