Martina, I haven't listened to Wigan Pier, but I'm sure JN did it justice. I love it that Jeremy's still spurring us on to learn more!

They're not available on CD (unless, as you suggest, you go on ebay and pay an arm & a leg) but you can't download them in the US either! 
I'm impressed that you are sticking with Orwell. I confess I find him too depressing without Jeremy's "help." 
But he certainly was a gifted writer with important things to say.
