Oh, okay. I've seen Anton Lesser in several things (The Hour, Endeavor) and I think he's a fine actor. But as Jules indicated above, Wolf Hall the series seems to be following the novel in having a bias against Sir Thomas More. In the book he comes off as some kind of twisted fanatic.

What was so great about The Tudors' More was that he was written as a real man with faults and good qualities. And that's harder for an actor to do well than playing a one-dimensional character. And it makes it all the more frustrating that Jeremy's amazing performance was never given the attention it deserved.

And, no, I can't picture anyone else as Sir Thomas either, Joan. It's one of the reasons I won't be watching WH when it airs here.
