(Audio) Book Club

Posted by moonmonkey User icon on October 12, 2026, 10:48 am

What's everyone reading or listening to at the minute? I've got an Audible credit burning a hole and I'm looking for inspiration.

The last couple of things I've listened to were Raveheart by Graeme Armstrong and Fictional Selves by Kyle MacLachlan, both of which I really enjoyed. Open to pretty much anything, so would love to hear your recommendations.

yanis varoufakis - raise your soul:

his family's life story through the lens of the matriarchs. pretty decent and read by him, but his greek accented english while soothing, is not all that understandable.

i find most audio books are best if they ae read by the author.

Like Vasily Lomachenko after four pints of Gatorade.

One of the best audio books I’ve listened to was King Sorrow by Joe Hill, it’s a great book, horror, fantasy and science fiction. If you like that sort of thing. But what sets it apart was that it wasn’t just someone reading the book. It had some effort behind it that added to what the author had brought to life.

Calm down, Nosferatu!
