Moyes will be made up by that

Posted by EFC_Ray User icon on September 19, 2026, 4:56 pm

"Plucky Everton grind out 1-0 win at home against 10 man relegation rivals Ipswich"

Doesn't want us going for games & scoring a few as that will just raise expectations

Make no mistake about it we got lucky today in spite of that dour fucker!!

It was proper shit like but it didnt have to be.

Ipswich played just over 30 minutes with 10 men and still went for it. Moyes left players on the pitch who were doing nothing and it could have ended in disaster really.

Take the win but fuck me it was hard work.

I don't think the pitch helped today, seemed to slow the ball down. Can't recall seeing it being drenched.

Played not very well and won. Should have been out of sight even playing a bit crap. Robbed of a second goal.

Fucking enjoy it.

Crying out loud.

The negatives will be here soon enough, just enjoy the positives. If you can't then Football isn't for you. In other words - the shite are over there *points*

Also unbeaten going into the first international break. We're 5th in the league, 5 places above the Shite and apparently everything's gone wrong and we need to be angry about it. Was it a great performance? Nope. But we won and it should've been 2-0. There's a time for the cryarsing, but this isn't it.

I mean we could have realistically have scored five (maybe conceded two- but that why our highest wage is on the GK)

I was knocked over with Moyes the cunt playing Johnson over George and Armstrong over Hackney

We created 5 guilt edged chances and scored with a fluke. Barry scored a perfectly good goal which was disallowed and should have scored with another header. Johnson missed two easy chances and KDH should have buried his header from Diblings cross. They only really made Pickford make one save. Any other day it'd be 3 or 4 nil and we didn't even play well.

Fair assessment that. Plenty of room for improvement in the passing but we look pretty solid and are creating chances.

Attwell/VAR helped ensure the game remained in the balance.

Made it harder than we needed to....some atrocious passing.....but I think we deserved to win..... midfield looked a bit weird with a few off it....so many similar teams in the mid-table so every point is needed.

bizarre take this, players stopped when we scored, could have had a few more despite this , but its on Moyes, we didn't win 8-0 but y'know

I've never been so disappointed by a win at home.
It was a terrible watch, and so avoidable. Moyes sat on his hands, as Garner, KDH, Johnson, Armstrong, Branthwaite, Tarkowski, and Mykolenko gave away possession needlessly, time after time.

There was so little movement in midfield, it was infuriating.

I thought Garner and KDH were awful today, while Hackney scratched his arse on the bench. Johnson was anonymous most of the 2nd half, yet Moyes hung the latch before making changes.

I've watched us enough being shite an losing, I'll take us being shite an not losing! Haha.

Grim to watch an think we don't have to be like this tbh but it can only get better performance wise if we're looking for positives. So lacksidasle at times though it is infuriating

I’m not his biggest fan, but the moaning today is mental.

If the second stands it was a very comfortable win. It was anyway.

They had a bit too much of the ball and we were sloppy at times. That’s it.

Agree to disagree I think here.

Watching it at the time I think I felt the same, but once it finished I don’t think it really looked like they were scoring.

I’m a few drinks in now so that’s probably gobbledygook.

I think we were just expecting us to do an Everton but it wasn’t one of those days really. It was more closer to us scoring another couple really. While admittedly not playing well.

We won

All that matters

Lots to improve but remember we also scored another perfectly good goal - that gets given and it’s be more positive

Perfectly.good goal ruled out, 2-0 against 10 is a completely different game. We weren't great but he's one shithouse that ref.

Builds confidence, we aren't Brazil 70 but we aren't completely shite either.

I know mate, I just wish at home we would go for it, we are a good team, we dont need to score an early goal & put 10 men behind the ball
