Overall, we worked collaboratively towards our goals and despite turbulent market headwinds successfully pinpointed the areas we wanted to improve identifying a mixture of exciting talent and experience for the group. We will take on board the learnings we have and the new streamlined structure we have been putting in place over the last 18 months will allow us to hit the ground running and to attack the January window.

I'm in daily contact with the owners and we are all fully aligned in our objectives in progressing this incredible project of delivering the world class team our stadium and fans deserve.

I just don't get how we keep on having this cash problem. Its been going on now for what 5 years?

Yes huge mistakes were made and we had to strip back in order to get stable again, but six years since the last of those big spending sprees, and all sorts of squad cost cutting and we still seem to be just one mid-sized transfer away from being back in trouble?

Weren't we continually promised this would all end when the new stadium started to bear fruit? Weren't new owners with their finger on the pulse of big revenue streams and sponsorship deals going to put us back on the straight and narrow?

Its not even like we are talking about trying to match the likes of the RS, City and Arsenal....right now there are Championship clubs and newly promoted sides that seem to be in a slicker shape to deal with ins and outs than we are.

It seem like a continuing dance...."its OK lads, the suckers have fallen for it before, we will just keep spinning it till its time for us to move on too".....at what point does the club with one of the biggest fanbases in the country, the newest stadium and the benefit of ever presence in the Premier League actually stop being less financially hamstrung than Leeds, Wolves and Ipswich ?
