He didn't like the fact the medical team cast doubts on his fitness, saw his arse and took it as a personal insult - didn't want to sign a contract.

In any other business the due diligence is far greater before employing someone earning less than half in a year what a PL footballer earns in a week.
The medical team are just doing their job properly getting all the relevant info before the club spends £40M in transfer fees plus however many million more in wages.

Yeah I agree. It's a bit mad that people are painting the opinion of medical professionals as some kind of negotiating gambit to rinse a few quid out of Monaco.
It doesn't say much for Balogun's attitude if his head's fallen off because he failed the medical either.

Wouldn’t say there’s anything mad about medical opinions affecting negotiations and deals?

In this case itself we renegotiated our original deal with Monaco (successfully) to reflect new findings.

Yeah but there seems to be an undercurrent of people thinking it was some kind of falsified thing to save a few quid. Make out Balogun was being held together with gaffer tape and save £3m on the transfer fee kind of thing.

Exactly. Imagine the uproar from the wanna-moaners if Everton had done no medical due diligence at all and he'd proven to be a crock. The attention seeking vengeance would have been even more deafening. He's actually come across as a bit vain precious, affronted by something quite reasonable.
