One thing is for sure all eyes on the January window!

If they want to demonstrate their commitment to the club and competence etc then they better get on it in preparing for January now.

Even the right loans would do it as long as we get good players in at lb rb and striker (two needed really).

For TFG they’re gonna need a big summer spend I think. Tbf I did wonder if that was the plan (big spend next year with new manager)

That and a bit of holding their hands up.

Maybe revisit the setup at sone point for either tweaks or complete rethink.

Do we have a sporting director?

We have a "committee" including the manager who likely won't be here in 9 months time.

Clearly not a sensible structure.

It's a shit show because it's now a direct appendage to the bottom line net profit and assets line.

It's nothing to do with the sport. It's a reflection of the overriding importance of finance.

If you employ someone to build and manage a team it should only be that person and their chosen advisors doing a consideration with a note passed through the door by the secretary telling them how much they can spend.

All depends on where we sit in the table come January. If we are comfortably midtable they wont back us. If we are around the relegation they will need to protect their asset and their hand will be forced.

I mean it’s the only way out of dodge for them.

What they do over the next 12 months will tell us everything about them their intentions etc etc

If they just fucked up by trying to be too cute financially and/or got stitched up by SCR/burnley payment cash flow then that is one thing.

They can put that right in the coming windows (jan & next summer).

If they’re just here to take the piss/trundle along then it will go south for them and will be obvious from their actions.

Fwiw I think it’s the former not the latter but over to you TFG & transfer commitee 👍🏽
