Jeezuz christ, wake up and smell the coffee, its clear that as well as trying to renegotiate what we'd already agreed with Lyon, we were also trying to do the same with him and him and his agent were having none of it.....that's not him being a cunt, that's us.

I'm not buying that. If you are buying goods and you find out it's not as advertised you either pull out or lower the price. Clearly there was something wrong with him. Everton couldn't live with that at the original price and terms, he decided he didn't want to drop his value.

Anyone been for a job interview and immediately got bad vibes? If we were missing around with medical stuff and constantly renegotiating. No one keeping the ego side of the deal sound and a feeling of chaos.

Not hard to winder whether another 6 .months in San Tropez and a rethink might be worth a go.

That way he's not at a club he's not wanted, they're gonna get their money, he's not going to be playing at the shambles that we are and will be earning a shit-ton of money.

Why wait until after the deadline to pull out? The haggling stuff was going on and Monaco accepted a bid from Chelsea for someone else in that time. If he wasn't happy about that he had time to say no before everything got agreed again.

8.30 the reports came out about an issue with the medical. Next 2 hours spent renegotiating with Monaco (and player if needed) and looking for alternatives if not agreed.

Agreed new terms with Monaco who then pulled out of Chelsea deal.

Balogun walks away from the deal after midnight. He could have walked any time after 8.30 unless we started changing his terms after Monaco deal agreed in which case we are idiots

Yes I am. No idea what this medical issue was given we just signed a crock in Norgard with no problem. If we started to negotiate terms again with the player then that should have been happening concurrently with Monaco discussions.

Truth should come out but I suspect the player just changed his mind probably because he had doubts from the start

I'd say they tried to renegotiate his personal terms and he's seen his arse. Suppose we can look at that a couple of ways, 1. Would it have been the right thing to do under the circumstances. 2. He's a bit of a twat and we're better off without him.

We shot ourselves in the foot leaving it until the last minute and selling before we had the replacements which is just basic stuff. We are clearly now very reliant on a to date unreliable striker and likely to be held to ransom in January.

However, you're right Balogun deserves stick. He had plenty of time to pull out before the deadline and allow his club to sell that other player. He decided to wait until the window closed to walk away. In that respect I think we dodged a bullet. If you dont want to be here then we dont need or want you.
