Mobile phone card reader app or tap machine

Anyone use either of these?

I need one for an outdoor event, probably only to use a few times. Looked into it and there's a whole world of fierce competition claiming all sorts.

Anyone used an app on their phone to take payments or anyone used a hardware device? I don't need an ongoing contract. Cheers

I use Sum up.
You can use a reader or your phone.
Never had any issues.

And he got behind Lawrenson there did Sharp ...

Square is fine you just scan peoples bank cards on the back of your phone, and its free.
