If there's any truth in this rumour, and I stress IF, then after being played out of position for 12mths, we'll be having the same conversation around Röhl in 12mths time

File under all the other rumour, gossip, made up, clickbait piles of imagined grifter nonsense.

We’d be daft to let him go.

Tarkowski is getting slower by the minute and is becoming more of a liability. Keane is what he always has been, shite. And both of these have 1 year left on their contracts. If Branthwaite can stay fit and play to 50% of his ability then he will be off next season, he’s far too good not to. We’d have to get a whole new defence in a years time.

Hopefully O’Brien can realise he just has to wait out the manager being binned.

Ridiculous if we let him go
Even more ridiculous if Moyes hasn't already told him he will get more than enough game time at CB, but if needs must he should fill in at RB. he could use the Lescott example i suppose.

Also, tarks looked like he was on a downward curve last season, so this wont be better, and the less said about keane the better.

He's a big unit and half decent but Id not be that arsed if he left and we got a faster more mobile replacement in ..

Unless there is a financial/PSR imperative here it would be bananas for any serious operation to sell a player who exactly fits the profile of the player they would have to buy to replace him
He hasn't even done enough to warrant a fee that would justify a buy low sell high model

If he doesn't want to stay and fight for his place then get rid, he's far from being irreplaceable

The article hinted he had since made it clear he doesnt want to be playing right back and expects to start at centre back and we cant promise him that every week right now. Wonder if Moyes wanted to start him Saturday and it all came to a head then perhaps

apparently his partner was liking posts saying he must be annoyed and they wouldn't be surprised if he left a week or so ago as well

Its a shame in many ways, but what i would say is even though he played well in the games he did play centre half we defended deep on the edge of the box still, and we need another like Branthwaite who allows us to get 10 yards up the pitch so if there is money about for him, he isnt happy and they think they have someone with a better profile lined up - stars could have just aligned

We do need to get used to selling these types of player though - said it before but the very point of buying players with sell on value is actually selling them when they still hold some of that value. Reality is he isnt in our besg 11. We dont make enough selling fringe to squad type players which is why selling people like him and Tim who might go on and do well needs to be something we get used to

That was before Moyes made Tarkowski captain and rendered him undroppable (edited).
