Pre match drinks tomorrow

Posted by jpol User icon on August 25, 2026, 8:49 am

Bit of a shameless plug for my hometown club Chorley but they are opening up the social club for blues tom. They do this regularly for away fans fo pne or Bolton and they always put on a good do. Opens at 4

Just had a couple of beers there plus a free steak pie, they were expecting a coachload of Everton fans but they got stuck on the motorway.

We're in the car now on the way to the ground, a Scouse fella who lives in Chorley asked for a lift, I thought it was you!

The M61/M6 north junction where they join can be a nightmare and especially if there is a crash, which there often is.

Nice one both.

Make a decision whether its more #cans on the way or whether to stop depending on whether google maps says "massive crash here lads" on the way.

Usually go The Black Horse, the Angel and Hogarths before the long slog up to the ground.

Occasionally some other place in this beautiful old building set away from the main drag on its own, although it’s a bit restraunt-y. Someone will know where I mean.

How far from the ground is it? Would I need to drive again to the ground afterwards?

Calm down, Nosferatu!
