The Atmosphere

Posted by TeddyBoy User icon on August 24, 2026, 4:11 pm

What did people think to the atmosphere on Saturday?

I've moved to the North Stand Upper from the South Stand Upoer and thought the ground was exceptionally quiet all round, yet have read other people saying it's loud and deafening.

Thoughts?

Was loud I thought and everyone got behind the team, very little moaning even when we were holding on a bit (south west upper)

I wonder what the players make of it at pitch level, definitely doesn't feel like Goodison did.

Loud enough in the Upper South -we were only playing Crystal Palace so not going to be a Derby-like atmosphere.

Haha "we were only playing", Madjens got leathered for less this morning.

Seriously though, from the NSU I could barely hear the SSU.

There is a definite delay in the sound from the south stand reaching the north stand, something I never noticed at Goodison.

Wasn't trying to be a dick about it, but we're rarely ever that loud at home apart from the so-called "big games"
