The bigger the better

Sydney Sweeney

Clifton Village for strolling, cafes, boutique shops, places you can go for lunch or evening meal.

Gloucester Road for independent shops, boozers, a bit more of a hipster vibe.

Good runs of quirky pubs around Kingsdown and Redcliffe, closer to what Brizzle was like before all the London escapees and ludicrously wealthy students moved in.

Hotwells for a mix of virtually all of the above.

The Watershed and Arnolfini on the Harbourside for yer more arty vibe.

The Centre itself has always been a bit characterless, but there's still plenty in the way of entertainment, shopping and refreshment.

Could easily recommend any of about 30 boozers, if you're interested in that. Just give us a shout on here.

I stay at the premier inn right on the waterside and near pubs and st nicks market.
The Old Duke is my fave pub ever, free jazz every night.
St nicks market is great for lunch.
Hotel

Don't do the two hour boat trip with lunch it gets a bit boring.

Loads of ace pubs and bars along the quayside in the city centre.

Stay at the Ibis City Centre, smack bang in the middle of everything and decent hotel for the price.

Check out what's going on at the Fleece whilst you are there. Cracking little music venue with great zoider on tap.

If you wanna see the Clifton Bridge, best views are from the Clifton Observatory which has a decent rooftop cafe/bar and also access to caves which go right to the cliffs edge

Use the local ferry boats to cross over onto the island where the SS Great Britain is. It's a pain on the arse by road/footpath and the ferry takes about 1 minute and cost a quid, plus there's loads of other great bars and restaurants over there.
