Probably 7yrs late but I watched this last night about the security guard accused by the feds of planting the 1996 Olympics bomb; Richard Jewell, a security guard, alerts the police about a possible bomb in Centennial Park and is hailed as a hero. However, he soon becomes a prime suspect for the bombing.
A so called "Hero bomber" a damning indictment of US blame culture by law enforcement and media, a bit similar to Colin Stagg profile manipulation. Really good film though, tragic story then a happy but ultimately sad ending. Netflix.

Yeah he plays the tragic personality so perfectly. So believable you can't help but empathise. The character sadly died of a heart attack in 2007. Directed by Clint Eastwood.
