That football personality thread got me thinking

Posted by Beldale blue User icon on June 13, 2026, 11:18 am

About your birthday and Everton players/Everton moments of history.
I’m the 29th of April.
We won the cup that date in 1933.
Also, big Bob hit his 30goal target that day in 1978.
I was there for that one, not the cup final though!
Don’t know of any blue players born on that date, though.

What are you’re EFC birthday coincidences?

I was born on a Saturday afternoon in spring. Everton lost 2-0 to Forest. Fuck off Everton.

We played Wrexham on my 21st. It's family tradition to get a watch as a present. I was able to look at mine and see we were 2-0 down inside quarter of an hour.

I share a birthday with Puerluigi Casiraghi of Italy, Ariel Ortega of Argentina, Landon Donovan, and unfortunately TC Danny Murphy, along with TC Kenny Dalglish, who was on the same flight as me to Murcia, on our respective birthdays. The tight fit didn’t buy anything of the food drink trolley, but opened his bag out and loaded the tray in front of him with biscuits he’d brought with him, and a drink, which he then went on to spill all over his biscuits and his lap, cue stifled laughs from me and my missus, sat across the aisle from him and his missus, them hogging three seats, with the biscuit bag perched between them on the middle seat.

Don't forget lads, one Evertonian is worth 20 liverpudlians.

Same birthdate as Barry Horne (not same year).
Prior to last season we'd only played 2 games on my birthday, both 1-0 FA cup final losses.
3rd game on my birthday was last season, the last game at Goodison.
