Of course he would. They can sit round a table together now and have a good laugh at our expense telling us how everything they did was right for Everton. Him giving it the little old Everton spiel justifys him fucking us off the first chance he got in the process etc.
It’s just boring now more than anything, and with the likes of Southall shunned for years and legends like Royle who have a higher regard for the club getting on and fading into the past, this is the sort of shit we’ll have to eat up forever until someone comes along and changes the record.

Yeah I have avoided all of that tbh. It was a real low point, but I can see why it happened. Unitied flexing their full weight to take a local lad before he'd even settled in really.

But it wasn't as low as getting rooney back again. I still haven't really forgiven everton for that.

I didn't mind getting moyes back after dyche, it was an upgrade. Would like another upgrade tbh

This story doesn’t have Utd flexing their weight though
It has SAF bossing this shithouse around and telling him to do his bidding and meet him in a hotel for an unspecified reason.
He could and should have been able to demand the rationale and/or tell him to fuck off.
This same shithouse who was panicking about even meeting him in jeans a few years later, WTAF.
Not forgetting this tapping up episode consisted of them lowballing us to get the player at a knockdown price.
The equivalent of a third of this fee ending up in the shithouses pocket a few years later as he got the gig he’s craved via bending over to their demands
If it was a political situation some serious eyebrows would be raised
Meanwhile we have since welcomed said same shithouse back years later to gaslight us with smoke and mirror stories all over again.
