That's sensible in my opinion. Lads shouldn't be getting dehydrated for no need. It has a direct correlation with brain injuries and you've seen the effect brain injuries have had on athletes.

Highly unlikely you'll medically dehydrate to that point. They've been drinking all kinds of electrolyte drinks all day and will at half time. Plus they grab drinks at throw ins etc.

I don't think they will get to the point of medical dehydration either but you want to ensure preventative measures are in place prior to that. Why wouldn't you listen to medical advice?

Didn't it used to be 10 minute half time in football till the 90s? Then got switched to 15 mins.
