Considering he had hardly played any football he did well. Imagine coming in cold like that after so long on the sidelines.

He did ok - going forwards he linked quite well a few times with Dibling.

Defensively - Garner and/or Tim had to spend a lot of time covering that area as he does just let runners go and is very easily beaten when 1 on 1. But thats nothing new, and is why he hasnt been playing

he did fine for what was needed last night given what we had available

He might actually be great but we'll never find out, next lengthy injury is surely just around the corner.

The only thing that bothered me was the amount of crosses they got over, you could see Pickford going mad at him and Mykolenko for not stopping the crosses.

Mykolenko has never been good at stopping crosses from his side. Also, he rarely stops decent wingers from going past him with the ball.

Patterson was the same last night on the right. He did 'ok' I suppose, under the circumstances, but if he can stay fit, and that is a very big 'if', there is plenty that the likes of Coleman could coach into his game, about defending, first and
foremost. Needs to concentrate on basics of defending as a right back, which is criminal at his age, that he doesn't appear to already know.

Don't know exactly how many crosses Forest pumped into our box, but it was far 'too many', and but for the excellence of O'Brien and Tarkowski, we'd have probably lost that last night.

56 I saw on Sky of which Tarkowski and O’Brien cleared 48.

They were both 'immaculate'. Must have both had to take a couple of paracetemol after the game, to relieve their thumping headaches.

That’s been the case for years - Baines and Coleman did the same. I reckon they’re told to force the cross and let the centre halves deal with it, rather than be beaten by the winger and allow a potentially easier chance.

Agreed, especially since Tarkowski and O'Brien can deal with that all day

Ancelotti took a similar approach, having the full backs play narrow away from home to encourage the cross knowing that Keane and Mina facing forward were comfortable heading the ball away.

6/10, not his worst.. combined well with Dibling a couple of times. If nothing else he proved he’s in working order if we punt him in January

Did ok bearing in mind his fitness levels and probably having never played with Dibling before. Looked shattered when he went off. 6/10.
