Mark Robbins did a great job there before he arrived, he was fortunate to follow him and not walk into a disaster like so many of these young manages do because they so are desperate to manage.

He’s been a much better player than his uncle was and has worked under the best in the business. I’d be amazed if he’s just a Redknapp clone. I think the sheer number of goals this season and games won, especially coming from behind a fair bit, suggests he’s got a bit more about him than just “vibes”

I thought we had a few games when he seemed tactically astute. Just before the weird winter World Cup it seemed to fall apart a bit and declined rapidly. It wasn’t all bad. Another catalyst was changing an entire team for a league cup match and a subsequent embarrassment.
