Just on the ferry back to Portsmouth from Caen. Lovely isn't it. Independent shops, bakerys, good affordable public transport.

Obviously bad parts as well but I've 6hrs to kill here.

We did Madrid to Liverpool this summer up the West Coast down the east absolutely loved it.

Dijon was my favourite and the Loire Valley nice people amazing food recommend it to anyone.

I'm seriously considering retiring to France when the time comes (a little over 3 years from now).
Villa with pool and land for the price of my house... looking at the Beziers/ Narbonne area down south..

How would you circumnavigate the 90 day rule?

We had friends who had a few holiday lets in Bergerac who ended up selling up because of this I think

We were near there for a week at the end of August. Beziers is lovely.

My mate brought a fishing lake out there about 4 years ago.
Runs that with his wife, absolutely loves it out there.
I haven't visited yet, was waiting for him to get the majority of the building work he is doing done or it wont be a holiday it will be unpaid labour, but apparently the house is almost finished so I might venture out next summer, not to fish like, I havent got the patience. but to see him.
