Backed up with some good stats (in graphs to make it easier for the average England fan to understand).

For me he is one of the best in the world and best in the premier league by far save for maybe Donnarumma but he has a massive asterisk against his name of only having played 4 games.

He's saved us a number of times, including from likely relegation.

I used to coach the goalies for my lad’s team, and my mate (who was the full team coach) always reminds me of something I said to him when discussing a trialling keeper. I didn’t think he was good enough, and the coach pointed out that he was a good shot stopper. I said a goalkeeper who ISN’T a good shot stopper is just a man standing in a field.
We still chuckle about it to this day.

It basically says that as he is undisputed number 1, and has been so good that if anything happens to him between now and then England are fucked and so it is best to drop him and play Henderson so that if Pickford is crocked or loses form Henderson can step in.

It's a really daft argument. That's like saying Grealish has been great for us with loads fo goals and assists, but what if he goes back to City or gets injured? We should therefore drop him and play someone else

We all know why he doesn't get the credit he deserves and it's mainly down to him playing for plucky little Everton.
I genuinely believe other'fans' can't compute that he's stayed there so long, I can't really think of another current genuinely world class player (he is) that has been as loyal, especially to a club as mired in shite as Everton have been recently.

The bit about his set position and technique is interesting, I'm amazed it wasn't coached out of him years ago considering how much of an automaton they want you to be at academies these days, it's just a testament to how naturally gifted he is.

He's just a throwback, attitude wise, I think, he was brought up the right way at Sunderland, loans at Alfreton and Darlington (amongst others) would have taught him some early humility and toughened him up no end, I suspect he bloody loved it frankly.

In short, he's ace, who's arsed really if some clueless 'experts' don't rate him, even some of his peers don't if Lenos comments a few months ago are anything to go by.

INRAT obviously.
