1/ Pickford - kept us in it as they were tearing us apart in the first half. He’s priceless isn’t he.

2/ Alcaraz- an absolute breath of fresh air. Sped everything up and what a difference it made.

3/ Ndiayes cross was absolutely brilliant for the goal. The pen seemed to lift him.

4/12 minutes of time added on? We get three minutes at the tip? Sounds reasonable…. The cunts.

5/ that irritant of a right back who was niggling Grealish all game, calling for him to be booked etc… delicious to see that it was his shit clearance that cannoned in off Grealishs block. How do you like them apples…

re:2 - absolutely baffling that Alcaraz stayed on the bench v West Ham and villa when we needed a goal, he's always a threat and works his socks off. He has a habit of attracting the ball to him when its bouncing around loose too.

By most metrics he has been within the best 2 keepers in the league statistically for about 5 years now. He's unreal.

I'm 54. Seen everything man and boy from Gordon Lee to the present. Saw Neville Southall from debut to retirement and all that went with it. I know what Neville Southall was.

Jordan Pickford is as good as him. It needs saying. If he had the good fortune to have played in an Everton side half as good as Nev did, he'd be thought of as better.

In my humble opinion.

*To caveat that - I'm aware he's nowhere near as good as commanding his box as Southall was by the way...I'm convinced he's coached to do that...but all other aspects, he's number one for me.

62 and never thought I’d see an Everton keeper as good as Nev.
Pickford is right up there. Both make/made so many world class saves but are so good you just expect it from them.

I still can’t believe there was someone on the bus into town after the Mansfield game who said he was nothing special. Ok at shot stopping but that was his job 😳

100% correct.
I’m 43 and watched Nev from 10 onwards seriously.
He benefited from having the best team in Europe mostly infront of him.
