More burner phone nonsense

I bought a refurb Nokia no sim and unlocked etc. Got it yesterday. Downloaded Wallet and got the tickets on it.

Realised after a bit there's no NFC on it. Kin useless.

Can it be used any other way to get in like scanning the barcode or is it a NFC only?

There's a QR code you can scan mate.

Loads of Android phones didn't work v Roma so we were advising them to use the code instead.

I noticed this earlier when downloading my season ticket to my wallet.

Surely that is a way of passing a ticket onto your mates then - just screenshot the QR code and send them it - and they should be able to just scan in like they would with any event that requires a barcode?

they said screenshot won't work, not tried but think this is why NFC is needed

I think the QR codes can change dynamically now.

So if Heisenberg can access the QR code he'll be sound, but you can't screenshot it as it'll change between views.

I can see the QR code clearly in the wallet but you're right, it's just for the Seaso for the Brighton game so it will change at some point to the Villa game dynamically.

It's a massive pain in the ass. I've spotted a WUUM S nor for £64 with NFC. I had no idea some phones didn't have it. What a time to be alive just to go the match.

it could also potentially change for the game sunday too so you cant screenshot it etc and send it to someone

The actual qr code for the brighton game might change between now and then. My mrs sent me her QR code for her coop card to get something the other day but it had changed by the time I tried to use it.

Yep , our season tickets downloaded to Samsung have qr code that continuously spins round .

Easier on apple wallet as that just says " hold near reader " .

If you on same ticket master malarkey as us screenshots won't work .

What some have done is given their ticket account log in details to the person they are sending the ticket to , they then download the ticket to their own phone . They then log out and the original holder can access and download again

Just been looking at alternatives and there's loads of NEW cheaper phones that don't support NFC. It's a bit of a trap because I just assumed.

Yea mate, there's an option that says show code below the ticket in the wallet, press that press OK when the prompt comes up and scan it, you'll see a white lit up square box at the bottom of the scanner at the turnstile, just scan the code there.
