Equally great to follow that would be the realisation that the RS have royally screwed him. Tapping him up, arguably encouraging him to burn his bridges for the move and yet gazump the signing of the player that Newcastle were going to get as his replacement to enable said move.

I think we've played our part and messed up over the last year, but Isak knew our CEO is ill with cancer and with the idiot Mitchell leaving in June, we were rudderless from an executive point of view, so sorting out his contract and getting players over the line proved very difficult.

Guess which set of vultures landed on the telegraph poles and started shouting at Isak.

Weird how no media outlet that I've seen has mentioned that the RS have tapped him and his agent up? It's almost like it's choreographed and let's be honest, they've got form for tapping up players then saying sorry and still getting the player
