"On the playing side Hammond has been an unmitigated disaster. Player after player has been approached and turned down the club. Those that were interested found themselves in protracted negotiations before eventually stumbling over the line. Every rejected has led to days and weeks of inactivity, almost as if the shock of not immediately getting a player to sign has frozen Hammond in fear until the shock wears off and he tries again."
Virtually everything in this paragraph is made up or unsubstantiated, and then tops it off with blaming Hammond for the things that they have just made up. How does the writer know there has been "inactivity"? What does this inactivity look like? Just people sitting around reading the paper? Who knows why players have turned us down? Is it because Hammond has really bad BO or because the money wasn't right, they didn't fancy it, their agents advised against it or they got a better offer?
Let's get this right - we could sign ten players TODAY. They would inevitably be shit and we'd be lumbered with them and their wages for 4 years.
Good players both cost more, aren't automatically interested, and also will consider their options a lot more.
So it's going to be a process. I'd rather wait 6 weeks for a good player than sign a shit one in 10 seconds for the sake of it. That article is drivel frankly.

A crock of shit written by an arsehole would be my considered opinion. “Have you got any Gauhaus?” “Have you got any Gauhaus?“

Never watched last night but is anyone happy with the squad? Fuck all the "2 weeks of the window left" shouts or whatever. The season has started and, once again, we haven't strengthened enough, we are woefully short on numbers and quality in several areas.

How does he know no other bids have been made or arent being made for differing positions `?
pure speculation that and utter bollocks for me
I reckon if moyes wants a player he goes all out for them like he did with KDH and Grealish but i think the other targets the board has presented have been fucked off by Moyes ..thats why we are short ..
Thats only my view on it like and could be just as much bollcoks as that artivle Lovely Stuff

Absolutely spot on, the two of them look way out of their depth. The Tete bid, then nothing on a tight back is very worrying.

I don’t agree with that.
Tete’s agent was fishing for offers to help negotiate a Fulham extension.

Point I’m making is we tried to sign a right back in June. We are now 12 days from the window shutting and we don’t have one when clearly we are in the market for that position.

Indeed, but if RB looked like a position to be filled then, why has it taken so long to find an alternative to Tete. Maybe behind the scenes we are close to someone, but it's disappointing that it's not been addressed yet now the season's started.UTFT FTRS Stop bloody raining.

Is there any evidence we had an agreement with Tete and it wasn't just them wringing more money out of Flumps?Formerly yogiclementine

Written by David Moyes mum that. Reeks of deflection.
I think the Hammond stuff seems unfair, he’s been here months. I think in retrospect Thelwell going this summer was the problem it was too much change in one go. As others say we will be ultimately ok. But we all want better.
I don’t like Kinnear though, he’s just not football for me. And him crowing about the premier league summer series being a great chance to bed in new signings really showed how clueless he was. CHEER UP, PLUMS

Agree on Thelwell with what was needed this summer, if it was a case of just needing 3/4 players then fair enough, but we need 10+
As soon as we were safe we should have been sounding out players for key positions we needed sorting and getting the deals sorted quickly so once the window opened theyd be signed and there for start of pre season, instead of where we are nowI can't go to jail, my mommas cooking chicken for dinner
